If you go to this webpage you will see comments made by Carlos X. Carrillo, chief patrol agent for the Laredo sector. He states that it is not the job of the Border Patrol to apprehend illegal aliens or narcotics smugglers.
So this idiot deserved to hear from me, as his salary is paid by my tax dollars.
This is what I told the misguided gentleman...
Mr. Carrillo,
I read where you made the comment that Border Patrol agents don't have the responsibility of apprehending illegal immigrants.
Sir, what exactly are we paying you for, bird watching? Your statement is akin to saying that it is not the job of the police to apprehend criminals.
If you think it is not your job to apprehend those who chose to violate our nations borders, I would ask that you please remove yourself from the government payroll. I would much rather keep my hard earned money, than spend it, via taxes, on than a person/entity that refuses to do the job it was created for.
Sir, if you choose not to secure our borders by apprehending those who enter our country illegally, I would like to know who exactly is responsible to do so? Our cities have passed 'sanctuary city' policies which make it impossible for local law enforcement agencies to determine the immigration status of those whom they arrest. Therefore the only way to stop this invasion is at the point of entry, which means the U.S. border and the U.S. Border Patrol.
If only this country still had a militia of the several states, we could employ them to enforce Article 4, Section 4, of the Constitution, which states, "The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion..."
It is becoming painfully obvious to many Americans, myself included, that our government has no intention of doing anything serious about stopping the flow of illegal aliens into this country, and removing those who are already here.
.....................................................................................
On a side note...
As of June 28, when the Senate failed to pass it's most recent attempt at amnesty, disguised as immigration reform we have heard that our government plans to beef up enforcement of our nations current immigration laws.
This is a good thing if the government keeps their promise. The reason I say this is because according to the Washington Times, "Islamic extremists embedded in the United States — posing as Hispanic nationals — are partnering with violent Mexican drug gangs to finance terror networks in the Middle East, according to a Drug Enforcement Administration report."
So, we now have the likely possibility that terrorists are sneaking into our country, posing as illegal aliens. Wouldn't it make sense that we should do all we can to seal our borders for this reason alone?
Also...
When I hear the whining sniveling supporters of illegal aliens saying that we cannot round up and deport all the illegal aliens in this country, I want to puke!
One of the reasons they give is that it will cost too much, about $230 billion, according to estimates. That is a lot of damn money, but consider the following. Reliable estimates of the annual cost to American taxpayers to sustain and provide for the welfare of these criminal invaders is, $338.3 billion.
It would cost $100 billion less to get rid of these parasites than it does to keep them here. Once they are gone, and our border is secure, our nation will save that $338 billion annually. Is it just me, or does that make too much sense?
Just a few thoughts for ya'll to ponder...
