Last year, more than 1.5 million Americans contacted Congress and stopped phone and cable company efforts to kill Net Neutrality. Now industry lobbyists are pressuring the Federal Communications Commission to abandon this fundamental Internet freedom.
It's time the FCC heard from you. The agency has launched a public inquiry into whether it should protect Net Neutrality or let companies like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast dictate which Web sites you can use. Take action now and help stop the big phone and cable companies again.

The problem with "Net Neutrality" legislation is that it is government regulation. And with most things the government legislates it's bound to produce the opposite effect of what it purports to do.
In the end, Net Neutrality is giving Ted Stevens more power over your Internets. That's why I'm against it.
I do agree that anytime the government gets involved in something it usually screws it up. However, I do believe that with the recent attempt to pass immigration the internet and talk radio have come under scrutiny as tools used by opponents of governmental policy. I do believe the government is going to try and silence us any way they can. We need to come up with some way to ensure that we have the freedom to pass information and have access to that information without government or corporate censorship.

Yeah, open the land up to more competition so the big companies can't form a cartel to manipulate prices. Such systems can only occur when the government is there protecting them from competition.
Of course that's not gonna happen, so we are in a bit of a bind. I don't know exactly what the answer is, but it's important to realize that all of the fears that we have regarding the big corporations are only theories at this point, and not reality. The Internet is pretty much the greatest thing man has ever created when it comes to the freedom of ideas and I don't think people are going to give it up to easily. I'd rather take my chances with the corporations until they cross the line, than turn the thing over to the State who never gives anything back.
