We must take back our country from our government. We must take back our liberties from those whom we have entrusted to guard them.

Special interests, which are mere lobbyists for the real power brokers, have taken control and our elected officials take their orders from them, not us.

We need to vote every rotten scumbag out of office and replace them with fresh meat. I those new hires don't follow the Constitution and restore our rights, we repeat the process until they get the message.

You are right in saying you are responsible for your actions, but our government has taken control of almost everything else. They have their tentacles in every aspect of our lives and we are paying for their inept interference.

If we could return to a country were the people were self reliant, had some semblance of morals and character, and our government returned to doing only that which we grant it power to, things would begin to return to a normal state of affairs. Until then....nealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13655450848483696856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35997749.post-41988406686919179002008-05-17T04:59:00.000-07:002008-05-17T04:59:00.000-07:00A little too much moralizing, me thinks.I, and I a...A little too much moralizing, me thinks.

I, and I alone am responsible for my actions. If I am fat, if my teeth fall out, if my arteries are clogged, it is my fault. It may be my genes but ultimately, it is my fault.

And I have endeavored to educate myself as much as possible to avoid stupid decisions.

Yet your paragraph that begins "It never ceases to amaze me when I hear people blame" is merely a diatribe.

We can all name one or more problems. What I would like from a blog is some concrete suggestions on how to resolve these problems.Chiefhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04197243292834998131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35997749.post-84617374326490783702008-05-13T13:32:00.000-07:002008-05-13T13:32:00.000-07:00It never ceases to amaze me when I hear people bla...It never ceases to amaze me when I hear people blame 'the government' for all our nations problems. Yet who do people turn to when it comes time to solve our problems, that very same government. That is like going to your drug dealer to help you with your addiction, the candy store to help you with your obesity.

Great line! The Zombieslayerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00739873812900433755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35997749.post-8501189633247686072008-05-13T11:03:00.000-07:002008-05-13T11:03:00.000-07:00Common Sense! there is no more common sense in thi...Common Sense! there is no more common sense in this world...

IMO we've have gone to far to upset the present system... We,ve allowed it to get to Big... It's going to take a major collapse (natural, finacial, spritual) lasting a complete generation and only then will the surviors start over with common sense ruling...

I won't be around long enough to see the final outcome...I do wish the future generation good luck and Gods speed...Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16406674623634106214noreply@blogger.com
